Army Institute of Management & Technology (AIMT), Greater Noida conducts an entrance exam for the admission process to its two year MBA program. The institute was established in 2004 by Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) for wards of Army personnel.
MBA Program has been approved by AICTE and affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. This institute has a beautiful campus situated in Greater Noida with the luxurious facilities. The institute also provides excellent placement opportunities to all the students.
Candidates are shortlisted for MBA program of Army Institute of Management & Technology on the basis of their CAT scores. Candidates have to also apply separately for admission in AIM. The candidates who are shortlisted on the basis of their scores in CAT have to appear in a further selection process consisting of a Group Discussion and Personal Interview after which the final selections are made.
Candidates age as on 01 Aug the candidate should be below 35 years of age.
The minimum qualification for admission to MBA program:
Applicant should hold a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from any university recognized by the Association of Indian Universities with minimum 50% marks.
Candidates of current batch who would be completing all requirements for the Bachelor's Degree by 30 June 2011 may also eligible to apply.
Such candidates, if selected, will be admitted provisionally and will be required to produce proof to establish their eligibility by September 2011, failing which they will be dropped from the program.
Eligibility for Army Categories
1) The applicants must fall into one of the following categories:
Wards of serving Army personnel
Wards of ex Army personnel granted/awarded regular pension
Wards of ex Army personnel granted/awarded liberalized family pension, family pension or disability pension at the time of their superannuation, demise, discharge, release medical board/invalided medical board. This includes wards of recruits medically boarded out and granted disability pension.
Wards of ex Army personnel who have taken discharge/release after ten years of service
2 ) Adopted/Step Children and Children of Remarried Widows:
Adopted Child of Army personnel adopted at least five years prior to seeking admission.
Step Children are eligible provided they are born out of a wedding where at least one parent belonged to the Army.
Children of Widows of Army personnel who are born as a result of second marriage with Army personnel, however, children of widows of Army personnel born out of remarriage with Non-Army personnel would not be eligible for admission.
3) Eligibility Criteria in Special Cases:
Eligibility Criteria for Wards of Ex Army Medical Corps Officers / Army Dental Corps Officers Presently Serving with IN/IAF
Wards of only those ex-Army Medical officers / Army Dental Corps officers presently serving with Indian Navy / Indian Air Force who have served with the Army for 10 years
Eligibility Criteria for Children of APS Personnel
Children of APS personnel classified as ex-servicemen as per Government of India, Ministry of Defence letter No 9 (52)/88/D(Res) dated 19 Jul 89.
Children of those APS personnel who are on deputation and who have put in 10 years of service in the Army
Children of APS personnel who are directly recruited into APS and of those who, as per their terms and conditions of service, retired from APS after completing their minimum pensionable service
Eligibility Criteria for Children of MNS/TA Personnel: The following are eligible:-
Children of only those members of MNS who have 10 years service as regular members of MNS or are in receipt of pension from the Army.
Children of only those TA personnel who have completed 10 years of embodied service.
(Necessary certificates as given in the prospectus may please be attached along with the application. Please also mention the Para and Sub Para on the certificate under which you are eligible)
Candidates can obtain the application forms for AIMT directly from the institute and designated centers for Rs. 750.
Candidates can also obtain the application form by sending a demand draft of Rs 800 in favour of “ Army Institute of Management & Technology” Payable at Greater NOIDA at the address mentioned at the last.
The application Form has to be paid through a Demand Draft. The candidates that are willing to earn the application form through post have to deliver a requisite letter in which he or she have to clearly mention the registration number along with a clear signature at the back side of the Demand Draft.
The candidates have to also clearly mention his or her name along with the requisite letter, along with the name of their parents and a copy of mark sheet that carries a Gazette Officers signature. Furthermore, the candidates that are filling the application online can simply fill and forward the form in the right web address.
